Hurricane Sandy aftermath update

I just wanted to fill everyone in on my absence the past few days. As a Military Spouse I have always felt it was my duty to reach out to other Military families. Well as the Country knows Staten Island New York, Fire Island, & Sandy Hook New Jersey were some of the hardest hit areas from Hurricane Sandy. In those areas were over 200 hundred Coast Guard & Army families that are now permanently displaced whom have lost everything. I have spent all week helping my fellow Military Spouses on Fort Wadsworth collect, sort, accept and distribute MUCH needed items to these wonderful families.
It brought tears to us all to see the amazing out pouring of support from the community for these Military families.
Military Units from Florida to New England have all selflessly driven to us & donated household goods, cleaning supplies, toys, baby products and so much more for these families. To them I say THANK YOU. My family was extremely fortunate during this storm and the least I could do is give my time to ensure these families are made as whole again as possible.
I am honored to be of service to these families and even more honored to be a Military Spouse!
