Miss Tina's Day Off
Miss Tina took the day off yesterday ( at least from couponing that is) to enjoy a very special day at Sesame Place with our children. Sesame Place and Variety teamed up to offer a day of fun for families and children affected by Autism. As the parents of a child with Autism it was wonderful seeing families there and if the occasional tantrum happened we didn't get strange looks because every family could relate. The wonderful organization Variety – The Children’s Charity of Greater Philadelphia has been serving children with disabilities since 1935 and there mission is to build independence and self-confidence in children and youth with physical and developmental disabilities by engaging them in recreational, social and educational enrichment activities, while connecting families to resources. Please take a minute to check out this wonderful organization and the amazing things they do for families with disabilities.
